Apostolic doctrine is the set of beliefs and teachings that are based on the teachings of the apostles of     Jesus Christ. These teachings are found in the 27 books of the New Testament and are considered the    foundation of the Christian faith.  Apostolic doctrine is transmitted through the practice of apostolic   succession and the original eyewitness accounts of Jesus by the 12 apostles
